The McHenry County Board passed a proposal for a $9.8 Million dollar tax cut while maintaining services. “We have a balanced budget that is smaller then the previous year without cutting a single service that the public relies on.” said Jack Franks
As a candidate for McHenry County Board District 6, if elected, Larry Spaeth will continue to be an advocate to reduce the McHenry County Board budget. He will also advocate the reduction of tax levies from other taxing bodies in McHenry County.
The McHenry County Board also passed a controversial Nuisance Noise Ordinance yesterday at a packed meeting, where a clear majority of those speaking at the meeting were opposed to the ordinance.
It is clear from the debate that the passage of this ordinance was to give law enforcement an additional tool to keep any neighborly disputes reasonable with the minimal involvement of the government.
As a candidate for McHenry County Board Distrit 6, if elected, Larry Spaeth will be vigilant in monitoring the implementation of this ordinance. This will ensure the citizens of McHenry County, specifically the rural areas, that this ordinance will be enforced in a manner that is consistent with the intent of the Board.
